Catholic Political Thought 101

Foundations & Principles of Catholic Political Thought

Discover how to bring Christ into the secular world in this free, online course at the ICC!

In the face of so much confusion in society today, it is our Christian duty to act as salt and light in our communities. This is not a new task, however, and we can draw on the treasury of wisdom amassed by the Church over centuries of reflection.

In this live, online course, we will examine the history of Catholic Christianity in relation to the nature of political order, especially in the first fifteen centuries of Christendom, placing a strong emphasis on the teaching of popes, councils, and doctors of the Church.

This free course will run from January 26 – June 15, 2023. Lectures will take place online on Thursday evenings at 8:00 PM ET in the ICC’s online classroom, and recordings will be made available after each class. All required reading assignments will be provided.

Apply by Thursday, January 12.

Registration for this course is now closed.
